Update: Expanding Categories and Projects

I’ve made some improvements to my indexing system to keep things cleaner and more organized. With this update, I’ve added a few new info-dump categories to the mix, and I will put more effort in writing these.

Queers of History

This project has been close to my heart for years. Originally started under my old Facebook page, Queer Within, it’s a way to highlight and celebrate LGBTQ+ historical figures. I’ve saved a ton of data on my computer, but now comes the task of transferring and formatting it all for the wiki.

There’s already a working list, though only a few entries are currently built. Some of the figures included so far are:

More names are definitely coming soon as I continue expanding this category.

Haunted Places

I’ve also created a new category for alleged haunted locations. While I’m a skeptic at heart, there’s no denying how fascinating this stuff can be. The eerie stories, historical lore, and cultural connections make these entries super fun to research and write about. Stay tuned for the spooky details!

True Crime

Another new section I’ve added focuses on true crime: specifically old, weird, and downright bizarre cases. I’ve always been drawn to the macabre and real “spook shit,” so expect some chilling stories here.

Future Additions

There are a few other topics I’ve brainstormed but haven’t started building out yet. These include:

  • Occult: Exploring esoteric practices and beliefs.
  • Mythology: Stories and legends from various cultures.
  • Cryptids: The mysterious creatures and legends that spark the imagination.

These are on the horizon, so keep an eye out for updates as they develop!

As always, I’m excited to keep growing this space and sharing things I find intriguing. Whether it’s historical icons, haunted tales, or true crime oddities, there’s a little something here for everyone.

Stay curious, stay weird
Jack
